This item was temporary available right after the Hotfix on 14th July (16th for EU servers) and required players to find a Torn hand-written note via the Assistant Researcher's Notes unmarked quest. It was later made available to all players via the Sage without requiring them to complete the unmarked quest.

The book contains lore about the expansion Sentinel's Fate , to be released in February 2010.
