What does this information mean?

Before buying and using this token, see the Betrayal Timeline for important information on the topic first! Your class may or may not require a change by simply switching your alignment, among various other considerations that can greatly effect your game play!

Notes Edit

This item was introduced in 2015 at a cost of 50 Loyalty Point Tokens . Though the cost seems high, players who subscribe to the game earn double points per day quite easily and those who have played for many years can earn the 12 year veteran reward which will be 365 tokens.

  • The full description in this items' examine window continues to explain that players may choose to change their combat class unless they are Beastlords or Channelers; these two classes do not have an opposite equivalent alignment like older classes (e.g. Paladins are the opposite of Shadowknights), therefore a change with these classes will only change that character's city choices.
  • Some classes must switch their combat class. For example, one can not be an evil necromancer living in a good-aligned city; moving requires a change of class in some cases.
  • If you are a returning player who has not created a character in many years, it is worth noting that many classes that were once limited by alignment are now neutral on PvE servers. Likewise, some races, like Ratonga are no longer limited to evil alignments when creating a new character. Therefore, returning players may wish to investigate these changes prior to buying this token if they have an open slot or a low level character that can be deleted.
  • Returning players may wish to examine the Betrayal Timeline , as the process is no longer as tedious and time consuming as it once was.
  • Betrayal may be appealing to players who roleplay (RP) and wish to have a good-aligned or evil-aligned character race living in a city of the opposite alignment. For example, one may wish to RP a Troll Beastlord living in Kelethin or a High Elf Shadowknight living in Gorowyn.
