Many commands can be used to affect, modify or redirect chat text to different channels . Emotes are listed on a separate page.
Zone
Edit
- /emote or : - causes your character to pantamime an action
- /say or ' - Spoken in normal white text and only heard by those near you
- /shout or ! - Spoken in red text and heard by everyone in the zone
- /ooc - Out of Character - Spoken in green text and heard by everyone in the zone
- /auction or $ - Sends the given text to the current zone as an auction.
- /ventsay - Sends the given text through the target with ventriloquism.
Group
Edit
- /gsay, /g or # - sends a message to the group channel (must be in a group)
- /raidsay, /r or ^ - sends a message to the raid channel (must be in a raid)
Channel
Edit
- /# - Speak in a specific channel, where # is the number in the first column of the /channellist output

- Speaks in the channel , where is the name of the channel (not the number). - /channellist - lists all the channels you are a member of
- /whochannel, /wc # - lists everyone that is a member of channel #, where # is the number in the first column of the

/chatwho
- lists everyone that is a member of , where is the name of the channel (not the number). - /whogroup - lists everyone that is a member of your group
- /setchannelnumber X Y - moves channel #X to #Y
- /leavechannel # - leaves a channel you are a member of

- leaves , where is the name of the channel (not the number). - /leaveall - Leaves all your channels
- /chat_allowduplicatechannels 1 - Allows chat channels to show up on multiple tabs.
Guild
Edit
- /guildsay, /gu or @ - Sends your guild a message.
- /officersay or /os - Sends a message to other guild officers.
Private
Edit
- /tell or /t or . {name} - Sends {name} a message.
Windows
Edit
- /clearchattab [window] [tab] - Clears chat text on the tab [tab] of window [window] (name of window)
- /clearchat - Clears chat text on all tabs and windows
Ignores

- Toggle the name on your ignore list. If name is not given then the ignore list is returned. -
/ignore_add
- Adds the name to your ignore list. If name is not given the ignore list is returned. -
/ignore_remove
- Removes the name from your ignore list. If name is not given the ignore list is returned.
