Buff up your heat resists and get your entire group under a tent.. Then just fight him with the entire group there. Rogues, tough luck - stay under the tent. He has an AoE with a pretty big knockback, which usually ends up combined with his heat mitigation debuff + snare + DoT .. And you'd end up dying before you made it close enough to the healers.

Another place to set up is in the doorway to the room, with healers and casters wedged between the cauldron and barrel in the previous room. This gives scouts more space to move around than in the tent. But beware- if the tank pulls him through the doorway, he will reset.
