After placing this altar in your home, a worshiper may right click on the altar and select to commune with the deity. This action gives the worshiper a deity-specific version of the "Blessing of the Ancients" buff, described below.

Note that this buff does not stack with (but is a considerable upgrade to) the "Blessing of the Ancients" buff provided by the Altar of the Ancients house item, which came as the Terrors of Thalumbra expansion pre-order award.
