Festival of Unity

The Festival of Unity is an annual player-run event on the Antonia Bayle server. It was first held in 2007, after a number of roleplay storylines that left characters emotionally exhausted. To remind the valiant defenders of Qeynos what they fought for, the leaders of several good-aligned roleplaying guilds collaborated to hold a Festival to celebrate their unity of cause and of ethos.
Held in late May or early June, the week-long Festival features games, contests, and events like those at a medieval faire—archery contests, jousting, storytelling—and many others of a more modern spirit, like the famous Feyiron Chef cooking competition. Most contests are contested randomly, using the /roll command, to even the playing field; the skill comes in describing the results of the random rolls.
