If the enormous lottery jackpots are ever won on some servers, will they be paid? On certain servers (Lucan D'Lere, Runnyeye, etc.) the Gibblegibber Gamblin' Goblin Lotto has never been won, and the jackpots are in the thousands of plat. Do you suppose SOE will actually allow a payout of that size? And if so, how will it affect the server's economy? -- Sigrdrifa 16:59, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

On Blackburrow the jackpot has only been won once and they did allow the payout. The economy didn't seem to blip at all. I'm betting they let the player change their toon name though as I've not seen him since. :)-- Kodia 13:18, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
yup, Wynter won over 2100 plat. -- Uberfuzzy 13:19, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Update:It was won again recently, so only twice now on Blackburrow.-- Kodia 13:10, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

On Butcherblock we've had multiple winners. One of the more recent ones was for 1,200 plat, and the player was active for a while before disappearing. One of the other winners was a very prominent raid member of the server, and they're still very much active. Reverendpaqo 20:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

On The Bazaar, no one has ever played the Gigglegibber Goblin Gamblin' Game - because SOE banned it from the server! I think they banned it from Vox also.

Aren't those the station exchange servers? heh...it's no wonder they banned it. Giraku 12:21, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

I had a guildmate on AB win around 1000 plat, and he's still fairly active. I've managed to resist the urge to ask him for a loan though. -- DaedalusRaist 03:33, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Yep, SOE has paid out over a thousand plat on AB. If you really think about it, a thousand plat once every year or two is not a huge amount in the economy, where some Masters go for a few hundred plat. -- Lordebon 20:56, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

I honestly don't see how SOE could refuse to pay someone who won. They wouldn't have the lottery be so hard if they weren't going to allow high pots. -- Ryholin 12:43, 30 June 2008

i think as the jackpot gets higher and higher, the price per ticket should start to rise, (but with a cap ~1g). would counteract the massive influx of new money if it were to be won. -- Uberfuzzy 05:17, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

i think they should get a nice payout when they win, they should allow high pots if they are serious about paying out. --Anonymous 2010
