What do you think about a project that identifies the best harvesting places: mining, trapping, foresting, etc.
- That would be a very good idea. What do you think constitutes "best" though? That would be the key to designing the page. Some people thing node saturation is "best" while others think lack of competition (from other harvesters or aggro animals) is best. -- Kodia 23:23, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

it should be noted, for old world zones tiers 1-5, the nodes are random through the zone (besides fish being limited to water). starting in t6(and most of kunark) (sinking sands+) the nodes are area specific (roots/dens/bushes/wood in "green" ares, rocks by rocks, etc). making a "guide" like this would be very useful, but due to the randomness of nodes, its hard to pin down exact locations. feel free to start dumping ideas/notes here. we'll do our best to start organizing them. --

It should also be noted that for Tiers 2, 3, and 4 there are instances with harvesting nodes -- zero competition, and zero reasons not to cherrypick since as soon as you leave and zone back in its a fresh zone. --

- Really? Was unaware of that; a guide that listed those would be bloody brilliant. I hate T4 harvesting, fighting with ten other people to strip mine the three square feet of safety in EL :) -- Urizen Talk to me 19:50, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

So maybe a Harvesting Tips and Tricks article then?-- Kodia 00:21, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
