from time to time I am looking for a general overview of the crafted products of a specific tradeskill, to get a general idea what is possible, what stats can be crafted at all, and to get an overview of the products. For this I use mainly bookmarks in my browser to Rijackis site for alchemy or http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=81547&ForumID=426154&TabID=702497&TopicID=3203336 for jewelers etc. I could imagine it would be useful to have such kind of tables also here at eq2i for the other classes too. However I am thinking of something different to the wiki style we have here, where you hardly can do a side by side comparison or do some kind of "select" query. As an another good example what I have in mind you could take a look at the tailors products at http://de.geocities.com/eq2overlord/warenliste_schneider.htm (which is in German, but could be easily translated btw).
I would guess this might be interesting for other people too, as for the tailor page I am not aware of something similar, complete and easy to use in the English community, but unfortunately I have no idea how to transfer this table into wiki without loosing all the goodies and overview we have for excel. Currently uploading this to google docs and linking it here seems to me the most feasible. Any opinions? -- Alinor 11:48, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- The tabular information is certainly easy to read and wouldn't be that difficult to add to the wiki if you viewed the source of the pages and found where the table starts and ends were in the HTML. HTML is somewhat ugly in the wiki context, but it does work. Links to the information in the tailor section would also be appropriate if placed in the appropriate location. Using alchemy as an example, you can see that we already link to Rijacki's alchemy site (though her information is quite out of date and in some instance incorrect; our information, such as the potions and poisons is actually more up-to-date). Please don't hesitate to link to good sources of information. If you're ever in doubt about where to place the link, show it to one of us and we'll...*cough*....tell you where to put it. :)-- Kodia 12:38, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
In taking a look at the jeweler's page, I realized the guild portal forums page you linked *is* actually on that page already. Perhaps it needs more prominence like with the alchemy page. I'm going to make a link at the top to that information to make it more visible, but I still think that links to the jewelry tables on your test page would be welcome additions. We'd have to probably watch our page length though. It might be useful to make the jeweler's page a main article page and the tables links from that if the page gets too long.-- Kodia 13:41, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I see what I can do about the jeweler page. wikia is bloody slow here anyway, so long pages contributes even more to this. For the tailor stuff I will experiment on my sandbox first, but editing tables in html/wiki is a royal pain in the rear and very hard to maintain imo.-- Alinor 14:41, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Is there a way to add a stylesheet to a wiki page? Pasting Excel rows into frontpage and pasting that code into wiki gives quite cluttered source as every td element has it's own style definition. Another option would be to put this stuff into some db outside of wikia like baseportal.com -- Alinor 11:49, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately, I think stylesheets need to either be site wide or limited to the user (
