The following is write my own writeup based on my ingame crafting xp of leveling 4 crafters to 80 and my show you some new things about the bascis of crafting.

  1. The Power
    • Tradeskill spells use % of your total power.
    • The higher your total power the more you will for the spells.
      • Unequip every piece of armor that is meaned for combat
      • equip armor pieces that boost your tradeskills
      • Chancel every buff that inc our power
      • Drink something if needed use a power totem too ( Totem of the hawk for example)
      • and plz use some armor in your appearance slots or ppl complain why you are crafting naked ;)
  2. The Spells
    • there are basically 2 diff set of spells: 3 for process and 3 for duration
    • Process = speed = the purple line in the bar
    • Duration = quality = the green line in the bar
    • Sort your spells in the following order ( you need that later ):
      1. Decrease success chance by XX %, increase process by XX
      2. increase process by XX
      3. Decreases durability by XX, increase process by XX
      4. Decrease success chance by XX %, increase durability by XX
      5. increase durability by XX
      6. Decreases process by XX, increase durability by XX
      • 1, 2, 3 = speed
      • 4, 5, 6 = quality
      • the spells 1, 3, 4, 6 don't need any power, so use allways the newest
      • 2 and 5 need rather a lot of power
      • Till you are level 30 you shouldn't craft any rare thing coz your success chance is a bit low :/ at level 30 and higher you should get the most stuff pristine
  3. The Spell casting
    • Before you start to craft a thing make sure you got enough power for it. Imbue crafts normal need a bit more power then other craft's but it shouldn't be a big problem
    • the casting set's:
      • 312 = full speed low durability
      • 645 = full durability low speed
      • 642 = the nice mix, 70% durability 30% speed
      • 315 = the nice mix, 70% speed 30% durability
    • The following goes from the start of crafting a thing:
      1. start with 312 = full speed
      2. then wait till the bar moved if you see that still are at like 80% durability in Bar ( pristine result ) use 312 again
    • during craft
      • if you are under 80% then use = 315
      • next round still over 60% = 315 if not then 642
      • if you get close to 20% make 645 for a full durability round
      • if all goes well you should be able to use 315 the most of the time and sometimes 642 to inc the durability only a bit.
    • you can counter the spells if you like ajust the casting order and cast the needed one first then the other 2.
    • when you don't have to counter something spamm your spells do you so craft faster.
    • or you go crazy a bit and use 312 in the first 3 rounds even durability dropped 1 bar down np as long as process is only at the secound bar. then use 645 for a full durability round or 642 if you think it does it.
  4. tiny thing about xp
    • A product get's pristine when you have bar 4 durablity and process is at the maximum in bar 4. allso if you get a thing the frist time pristine and the it was at least green difficult you get a xp bonus the first time for that one.
    • Tradeskill writs give guild status and tradeskill xp
  5. Nice things
    • Adventure level 55 and you have fallen destiny expansion
      • make your class artisan quest there. reward is a item that inc success chance by 1.1% or so and a bag with 36 slots for crafting stuff
    • Thinkerer items that inc your skills or success chance
    • At level 80 you can do get your master crafting quest done

I hope you get the most things to pristine with that
