Is it possible to use wikicode to make an image link to a page other than the image file? I looked at Wikipedia's help page but it stated nav images haven't been possible since 2006 December. Yes it is, but its not how you think. you have to treat it as a url link, not a wiki link.

to link Image:Eq2i_admin_avatar.png Admins , you need to use the fact that mediawiki will turn a full long image url into an image, even if its an image at the wiki.

[http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Admins http://images.wikia.com/eq2/images/f/f0/Eq2i_admin_avatar.png]

turn into

but this looks ugly. and its a pain, so we use some shortcuts

[{{fullurl:Admins}} {{filepath:Eq2i_admin_avatar.png}}]

turn into

it still a pain to use, and you cant control the sizing of the image when used by url at all. -- Uberfuzzy 15:24, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
