Handling T9 raid "sets"

I think we need to hash out how we should handle the T9 raid armor "sets." I put sets in quotes because they are not a set in any usual sense: the names are all different, and there is no official set with set bonus. The only thing that makes them a set in some consideration is the fact that there is one piece for each of the 10 purposes SOE defined in SF's raid armor itemization. Now, with that said -- do we want the "Armor Set" appearance at the bottom of those item's pages (since there is no real set), and if we do, what should the sets be called in. The name should be both brief and sufficiently descriptive. -- lordebon 13:19, April 16, 2010 (UTC)

i think they should be named after the armor pieces that share their names. usually they are the helm, chest and boots for the 't1' ones. for t3 the first word denotes the setname (i think). not sure about t2 though, especially that the forearms have the same name as the suggested t1 setname -- Vraeth 13:50, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
Therein lies the problem -- it's not consistent enough to use those names, in my opinion. Someone has started a few sets along the lines of "T9 - " but I really don't like that look. To that end I wonder if we should really classify them as armor sets at all? Perhaps instead of going that route (since they're sets only in the loosest sense) we should instead just link to the SF Fabled Sets page instead of having the armor set templating. -- lordebon 18:37, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
I was the one who made those pages, but the Leather Healer one already existed, so I just went ahead and made the others. I kind of agree with Vraeth's idea, it seems the most logical and "T9 Leather Healer - Easy" etc., doesn't really have much of a ring to it, haha. Besides, there are two more tiers, so I was thinking, what would they be anyway? There is only easy and hard in the raid zones, as far as I know. So that doesn't cover the three tiers of gear. -- Cacophonical 04:10, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
True, but I reiterate my point about the wild inconsistency in naming. -- lordebon 04:27, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I see that some pieces in "T2" share names with pieces of "T1", and "T2" has no common theme in the names... So you're right - that definitely wouldn't work. Sorry I can't think of any suitable suggestions. :( -- Cacophonical 05:11, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

From what I've seen so far, it looks like the T3 set is all named the same and so should be OK to classify as an armor set. For the others, how about Sentinel's Fate Tier 1 Raid Armor. IE Sentinel's Fate Tier 1 Druid Raid Armor. It's longish, but it's fully descriptive and consistent with SOE's schema for the armor being classified by tiers. Tier 2 would be the same, just different name. Then T3 would be named after the items, but perhaps with a redirect from the Tier 3 blahblah page to the proper armor set page. How does that sound to everyone? -- lordebon 21:41, April 19, 2010 (UTC)
