I was wondering if a Harvestable (Item Type) category could be added for the item template.
I'm also not sure, but is there a way to split up the description of an item on the template. Flawless Pearl would be an example of the trouble i'm having. You can have the description up top, then the icat below and not split it up. It'd be preferable to have the item description, then the icat then the information about what tier crafting the item can be used for. Jado818 ( talk ) 00:57, February 1, 2014 (UTC)
- The blue text at the bottom is separate from what we'd normally call the description or flavor text, it's sort of separate function text (which is one reason we had harvests use a separate template before, I suppose). If we decide to move harvests over to the item template we can easily set up that text either as a separate field or just generate it automatically based on rare/not-rare and tier. In the meantime the way you have it for those non-harvestable rares and such should be okay, we can always go back and fix it later once we update the template.
- As for the item type, I'm not sure if Harvestable would be the best item type in retrospect, especially for ones that are drops only. What about if we did Crafting Resource (Item Type) and then had Common Harvest (Item Subtype), Rare Harvest (Item Subtype), Quest Component (), Rare Drop (), Legendary Drop (), and Fabled Drop (). Then that would cover the full gamut, including things like the skyshrine and ToV crafting bits. We already have Category:Component (Item Type) , but I think that could be dropped and merged into Crafting Resource, since it's a bit more descriptive of a name. How does that sound? -- lordebon ( talk ) 19:17, February 1, 2014 (UTC)
