I was wondering if it would be OK to start adding copies of the actual text out of some of the books in the game to wikia posts here at EQ2i. Are there legal issues involved there with copyrights and I should just forget it? Or maybe this idea has already come up and has already been shot down elsewhere?

Some of the books are documented here and include the text, so no, there's no trouble with that information being included. You can find most of them at
Category:Book_(Item_Subtype)
(be sure to see all the pages, as this is just the first). I would do a thorough search of the site to make sure the book isn't already documented and then go ahead and enter the text if it isn't already here. You can use an existing book article as a template or just start adding text with the
{{wikify}}
tag at the top of the page to notify another editor that templates haven't been added and the page is just the raw text.-- Kodia 12:06, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
