Was offered and accepted Guide quest Neon Lights (Level 80 - ha ha ha)- [REWARD: House/Guild Item ~ Lamp] Finished quest in 15 minutes. Go to any level 1-12 zone harvest items. Return to quest giver for turn in.

Easy and quick but the Guide offering the quest left. So I guess you have to do it faster than 15 minutes. Emailed guide maybe I will receive the item.

Ah, yes, I've done this quest. The reward was an Enchanter's Candelabra when I did it. It wasn't a quest that appeared in my journal though and it didn't have a level requirement. And I had a very specific list of things I had to harvest, but only 3 of each of 3 items (so, 9 items total).-- Kodia 10:07, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

I started this quest today in Darklight Wood as a level 13 Troubador (Wynged). It was a little different. I can't remember ths guys name (I remember it started with an R) and he did not seem like an NPC, rather more like a PC in anon mode. He followed me around Wanderlust Fair, and answered my questions. After I finished the quest, I said (/say That was weird...) and he ran over to me and asked me why I thought it was weird. I told him that the way it was executed was a little different, and he said yes Wynged, it was different. A couple other questions back and forth, then he then thanked me again for the help.

Wonder if we will see more quests along this line, about how they are executed. It was weird though, seeing a non npc give a quest. Cool, but weird. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elminstter ( talk • contribs ) 15:05, October 13, 2009 (UCT

The "non NPC" you are talking about is a member of the Guide program. They are basically players just like you that have been accepted into the program by SOE and run SOE-approved quests to spice things up. And this quest has definately changed over time, I did it not that long ago and got a lamp that is like a lantern on a pickaxe, but I remember seeing folks get a different lamp in the past, and as Kodia mentioned I don't think it was an actual quest in your journal back then. -- lordebon 16:34, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
