The trigger for this plea was Category:Live Event Quests and the quests in it. The journal category no longer exists in game, and the quests have been deleted and replaced. I am tired of tripping over quests that have been "Removed from game" while scanning Category:Quests by Category or Category:Quests by Zone subcats for quests I have not done.
- Is there a code that can be added to the RfG template to make the software not acknowledge any category other than Category:Removed from game ?

Is there a code that can be added to a page directly after the RfG template that hides the categories? I tried
and it made a hash, but code along that line is what I was thinking of. - Can Template:RemovedQuestInformation be written, that has none of the category triggers of Template:QuestInformation but keeps its format and linking ability?

- I've never thought of removed quests as a problem before, but it is something we can look at. Two separate templates is unnecessary duplication (then every time we change the main template we have to change the other template), and I'm honestly not sure if it's ideal to remove the quests from those categories... there's a limited number of removed quests, and taking them out of the categories would make them difficult to find. At best I could see moving them to a different category, like Removed Quests, but I'd like to see what some other users think before trying to make that kind of change.
- In the meantime, something to consider for quest completionism is [1] , which sorts quests by their journal category and strikes through quests that are no longer available (and lets you store your own personal list, making it easy to see what you have left). -- lordebon ( talk ) 13:02, July 31, 2013 (UTC)
