Category:Quest Starter (Item Type) and Category:Items that start quests appear to be the same category. The only difference is their immediate parent cat:

Category:Items → Items that start quests
↓
Category:Item Types → Quest Starter (Item Type)

The contents aren't identical (Items that start quests has slightly more things in it) so I'll have to take a look and see if there is some valid reason for having two different ones. My initial hunch is that "Items that start quests" is from anything with the "Offers the quest" text that can include things that aren't purely quest starters (like some of the original heroic epics) while the other one is purely the Item Type category for quest starters, which are items that do nothing other than start a quest. If that's the case, even though they're mostly duplicates there would technically be a reason for having 2 separate ones. In that case I'll just add a description to those categories to say why they're there and not duplicates. -- lordebon ( talk ) 18:26, May 9, 2013 (UTC)

After a bit of looking at the item template, the hunch above is confirmed. The difference between the two categories is subtle but valid, so there is a reason for both to exist. I've linked between the two and given them a bit of description now. -- lordebon ( talk ) 19:06, May 9, 2013 (UTC)
