I was browsing through the Monk AAs today and noticed allot of speed buffs but couldn't find any explanations on what action/stat the buffs applied to. Please help my clarify this or point me to a good link that does.

Terms: Recovery / Ability Recovery Timers (Buff from Baton Flurry and Chi)

Attack Speed (Buff from Chi)

Reuse Speed / Reuse Timers (Buff from Ambidexterity(passive))

Ability Reuse Speed (From Chi)

Casting Speed (From Chi)

Speed (From Favorable Wind)

In Combat Movement Speed (From Favorable Wind)

Possible stats these my affect: Cool Down Timers Casting Recast Duration

I'm assuming some of this stuff is the same things. Like what it buffs recovery and ability recovery timers it's buffing the same stat? Is recovery the same as reuse?

A breakdown of this would be appreciated if someone has the time.

Lou

Attack Speed is a regular blue stat and affects how quickly your autoattack fires. You will autoattack with a delay between D (at 0 AS) and D/2.25 at 200AS, where AS is your attack speed stat (capped at 200) and D is your base weapon delay. It's not a linear curve, so points in between are non-linear.
Recovery is a base 0.5 second wait after casting any spell or ability. Reuse of that reduces that time up to a maximum of 50% reduction at 100% recovery speed.
Reuse Speed / Ability Reuse Speed affects how fast an ability will refresh (the amount of time you must wait after casting to cast it again). That also caps at a 50% reduction at 100 points.
Casting speed is casting speed, again caps at 50% reduction at 100 points.
"Speed" is your base movement speed, how fast you run out of combat. In combat movement speed affects how fast you move in combat, when normal "Speed" buffs do not apply.
Hope that helps =) -- lordebon 13:15, September 28, 2010 (UTC)
