I've been pondering this a lot lately...
For the sake of the wiki, is there a standard for posting status reward amounts? As in, for HQs, monsters that reward status, and other mechanics in-game with fluctuating Status reward...
Specifically
, I've been noticing this more and more, especially as there are now more HQs at higher-levels, where registered/unregistered users alike are reporting status reward
dependant upon player level
. And that's good info to know, I guess. But in terms of how it affects the pages where that dearth of information is found, I think it makes the Rewards sections look sloppy and unkempt.
Hence my original question. I know there's the {{Status|###}} template for easy plug-in, but I'm curious to know what the admins (and the other high-contribution editors) feel about this. Personally, I'd like to see either a Status Reward
range
or else to adopt a standard
average
status reward amount (ex: if it's a lvl 80 HQ, then to only post the lvl 80 status reward amount). /begin discussion... --

- For me it is fine as it is now (eg. "80000 sp at level 78"), for giving a rough idea this is ok. I am not using the wiki to do an exact calculation of status points, especially as i do not know what to do with these points anyways. Also, as it is has to be maintained manually chances are high that the information is outdated very soon (see for example the some spell descriptions which still do not reflect the naming changes a few GU's back)-- Alinor 06:57, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
I'm moving the discussion to the planning forum as this will have implications on how the design of the wiki appears. As for the question at hand, I think what I'd like to see is either the big numbers (e.g. level 10, 20, 10) and their rough status points (e.g., ~1000, ~2000, ~3000). If we did a range of levels (e.g., 1-9) then I'd expect to see a range of status points instead of a single number. Doing the ranges would allow people to say "I got this number at this level, let's check the wiki.
- What I have typically done in the past is put the status reward for the level of the quest (IE for a L85 quest, the reward you get at L85) on the main page and then move any other numbers to the talk page just for reference. Another possibility is the "maximum" status reward (the number that all the others are derivates of), but that cannot always be as easy to find. -- lordebon 18:58, April 30, 2010 (UTC)
