Nektropos Castle
is a zone rich in places g-you should know where they are, but poor in those that give discovery or flash a name on the screen. Which brings up a question that will apply to all the zones I edit....
Should {{POI|}} be used for:
- only discovery areas?
-
non-disco places needed by major quests and HQs?
- non-disco place's inhabitant(s) needed by major quests and HQs?
-
non-disco places needed by more than one quest?
- non-disco place's inhabitant(s) needed by more than one quest?
-
any recognizable spot needed for any quest?
- any recognizable spot's inhabitant(s) needed for any quest?
If POIs are only being used in conjunction with the map editor, please tell me. I don't use it and will leave non-disco POIs alone. Janze-Nek 08:43, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- POIs should be used by any area of the game where a name flashes on your screen telling you where you are. Some of these are discovery locations and some are not. Recognizeable locations should not use the POI template unless the game clearly displays a message telling you that you have approached it. When documenting recognizable locations in the game that do not generate a message, simply use the Loc template and give the common name of the location. For example, "The Qeynos Harbor Docks" does not appear on the screen when you approach that location in Qeynos Harbor, but it is nevertheless a very clear, easily recognizable area of the game. You would not use the POI format for indication here. You would only use the Loc template for the location of a particular mob or item. -- Kodia 21:31, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
