Leaders
Edit
We have a multi-leader system so one of us is almost always around, but we are often on alts with recruiting rights. Which of our many alts we might be on varies, so rather than list a bunch of names, look for us in the guild recruiting roster by pressing U when you're in-game.
-
We inherited the guild about eight years ago (as of 2014) so if you've seen the name elsewhere we may not be the same people you'd expect. We kept the name to honor the history of the guild though and have had many of the same players for as long as we can remember.
The information below answers the most common questions we're asked by those looking for a guild, but feel free to contact us in game.
Officers and Other Members
Edit
Because we are not a raid guild or a strict RP guild, our officer ranks are set with respect for those who've been around the longest in most cases, unless someone is willing to help out with exciting "virtual paperwork," like answering recruiting inquires. If you're looking for rank-related prestige, we're just not about that. It's more like a big family without any drama. It takes approximately 2 weeks to become a full member.
Guild Style
Edit
- The main requirement to be in our guild is pretty simple: be nice. A relaxed, friendly environment is our most important goal.
- We're as laid back as they come and primarily a social guild. While people group, there is no requirement to play a certain class, be at a certain level, or chase the latest gear (unless you enjoy that). The only raiding we participate in is with the cooperation of other guilds. Our mantra is "do what's fun". It's pretty simple, but read on to learn more.
-
- For many reasons, we have no problem with those who want to have characters outside of the guild too. Sometimes you want to raid, at other times you need a break. Some days you're in the mood for very serious, alignment-focused RP and sometimes you want a more casual approach. If you have fun mixing up your play style, we won't take it personally.
- Because we're not a "progression" guild, we're also fine with those who can only play causally. Just let us know when you'll be gone for very long stretches and you'll have a "home" when you get back.
- We participate in RP, though we are not strictly a RP guild.
-
- We operate as "neutral" rather than strictly "evil" or "good".
- Chat is a mix of RP and OOC, with OOC chat offset by the use of double parenthesis.
- One (or more depending) of the leaders runs a weekly RP event in Gorowyn. It's set up as a bar and grill. Guild members are not required to attend, since it's open to the RP community, but it's something fun to look forward to each week.
- Due to all of the above, we're a also a great home for those who want to get a start in the RP community without feeling self-conscious.
- We have many "old timers" that have played since launch who have no issue helping people learn the ropes. In fact, it can be said that we relish helping new and returning players discover their way in the world.
- We have a lot of very dedicated crafters at max level. A lot. A whole, whole lot! It's a great place to learn about your trade and chat with others who share enthusiasm for crafting for that reason.
