Icons

The 2 icons in the upper right-hand corner of the Spell Information block are the Spell Icon and the HO Wheel Icon .

Class

Can be any Character Class

Category

Category is in 2 parts. Spell Type, and (Target)

Spell Type

Can be any ONE of the following values (see Spell Types for a complete list):

  • DD - Direct Damage
  • DOT - Damage Over Time
  • Heal - Heals target
  • HOT - Heal Over Time
  • Buff - Improves the targets performance or survivability
  • Debuff - Decreases the targets performance or survivability
  • Reactive Heal - Heals the target in reaction to damage
  • DS - Damage Shield. When target is attacked a DS does damage to the attacker.
  • Ward - Protects the target from some damage of some type for some time.
  • Illusion - Changes the shape, usually, of the caster, but has no real in-game effect
  • Taunt - modifies the hate list of the target
  • Res - Resurrection, Revive, etc.

Target

Can be any ONE of the following values:

  • Self - Spell targets, or is centered on, the caster
  • Pet - Spell targets, or is centered on, the caster's pet
  • Friend - Spell targets, or is centered on, any player character
  • Group Friend - Spell targets, or is centered on, any player character who is grouped with the caster
  • Raid or Group Friend - Spell targets, or is centered on, any player character who is in the same raid as the caster
  • Enemy - Spell targets, or is centered on, any single enemy
  • AE (a.k.a. Self (AE))- Area Effect. Spell affects ALL enemies within the Radius of Effect from the caster.
  • Group (a.k.a. Group (AE)) - Spell is centered on the caster and affects all group members so long as they remain within the Radius of Effect of the caster.
  • Enemy AE - Area Effect. Spell affects ALL enemies within the Radius of Effect from the target, regardless of whether they are grouped with the target.
  • Encounter - Spell affects the target and all enemies grouped with the target, within the Radius of Effect
