Search Help Pages? Edit

I just want to mention that it can be very difficult to locate information within the eq2i help pages. The different categories do help somewhat, but there does not seem to be a way to search only the help pages. At least if there is, I have not seen any indication on how to do it.

For one example, pretend that you are new to wiki's and new to eq2i. Now try locating information about signatures by going to the help pages. With enough patience, and enough link clicking you may find this page: EverQuest_2_Wiki:Sign_your_posts_on_talk_pages . But most likely that same person will be looking for info on signatures and not immediately make the connection to talk pages .

I know that there is a help search option available in the Preferences page, but you either have to change the setting each time you need it, or let the different sections (help, articles, etc) mix together. The question that I am posing is: will a help pages only search function be included sometime in the future? At this point in time, I think the answer would have to be no, it is not being considered in the future. However, we can certainly start considering it. Also, if you have suggestions on how the help pages could be made more useful, that information would be of great use. Our help pages have only ever been really overhauled once and it's something that could be seriously considered.-- Kodia 11:48, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
