So, you wanna start a new page here at EQ2i? You have hit the edit button and you are looking at a blank edit window... now what?!

Stay calm, don't panic , help is here. For almost every kind of information in EverQuest II we have created templates to help you and to keep the format of our data here at EQ2i consistent. All Information templates, and many other's besides, can be found at Templates .

You have 2 basic options when you create a page

1. You only have a little bit of information that you want to share and if you're unsure of how to use any of our templates at the site, don't panic! Just start a new article and place {{wikify}} at the top of the page. Another editor will take care of the rest.
2. Above the edit window you see the most common templates you will need to create a page.
   • For example you want to create a page for a Quest:
     1. Klick on the blue Quest button to reload the with the complete Quest template
        • Any information you write into the page before you load the template will be lost!
     2. Add the information of the quest you know atm
        • Please note that you have to write the information between the = and the | in the template
     3. Preview the page if you feel unsure if you used the template right
     4. Save the page
