You need to interrupt when the idol starts casting Overpower, Unavoidable Annihilation, and Invincible Opponent. Dispel him with either mage or druid dispel if/when he gets his stoneskin buff (did not see what the name of the buff was that got removed, but it's the same icon as bolster at the front of his maintained buffs and it has some type of complete damage immunity while it is up). Cleanse cannot be interrupted, but it should not be hard to take that hit if you keep the other 3 buffs interrupted. The idol has about 35.25 million hp, required about 3k hps average with a 175 crit mit tank and appropriately geared other members to keep us well healed, so it's definitely not a hard fight so long as you keep him from casting his buffs.
If you fail to interrupt those 3 buffs and the idol gets to use the attacks on you, it WILL demolish whom ever it hits. (Had it range from 78k up to 350k damage on the tank, never mind what it did to the squishies.)
