Notes for Mechanamagica Retrofitting
Edit
Unless the mobs are gray to you when you arrive in this room, you will very likely discover that there is a seemingly endless supply of the fast-moving, aggressive and see-through-invis mechnamagica hunter-seekers flying overhead. Peeking in the door is enough to pull anywhere from one to a swarm of these critters, and no matter how many you kill, you never seem to get rid of them.
The reason that there seems to be an endless supply... is because there is an endless supply. They respawn very, very quickly. How, then, to discover the room, much less get through and around and up to Master Magus Thornbolt, without an inelegant death?
There's a shutoff switch. One for each side of the room, cleverly hidden underneath an activated clockwork worker in the center of the room. See the picture at left. Flipping the switch won't remove the hunter-seekers, but it will prevent their respawn for a time; long enough, at least, to finish the tasks in that room.
