Kill all the ''"[[a darkened spirits]]"'' (level 80^^^heroic), then kill [[Shade of Sellok]] <The Dark Defiler>(level 85^^^ heroic). While fighting the Shade, he continuously spawns multiple "[[shrieking phantasms]]" (level 80 heroic). When the Shade is down to 25% health he will become invisible - use your [[Eye of Thalger]], which has a 45 second duration (unlimited charges), to see him - group members won't be able to see the Shade but can strike and cast on the mob while targeting through you. Be aware that the Shade may appear to die only to return (still invisible to all but the [[Eye of Thalger]]). Your quest will not update until he is dead and if the quest doesn't progress when you think you've killed him it means you haven't done so yet. Recast the Eye and finish it. Equip the pre-version of your weapon and click the altar to destroy it - you are now done with the fabled part of the quest. STOP!
