Talk: Emperor's Athenaeum

For an alternate tactic to Drago, have your tank tank him in the middle of the room, while you split the rest of your party on either side of him in the light up rectangular areas to either side of him. Have the people in those boxes /cheer (3 or 4 times should be enough). This will get the crowds on YOUR side, giving the party Drago's (Northside/Southside) buffs! Just don't cheer too many times otherwise they'll start cheering for the underdog and attack you (needs to be confirmed). When Drago feigns the party, he'll run and get the crowd back on his side. When you stand back up, simply rinse and repeat. Getting the cheering crowds on your side makes the fight MUCH easier
Thanks to Ratbies for figuring this little tactic out during our first trip to the arena!

- Cool, thanks for the tip. I had tried /flex and /dance, but I didn't try /cheer in those boxes. It should also be noticed that the Northside crowd and Southside crowd buffs are quite good.

- As a further follow up to this, the Northside Crowd and Southside Crowd buffs can be used in the final fight against the 4 nameds. We had two people hang back to /cheer the crowds then run in when the tank counts down to about 5 so they are there for the start of the fight. Someone can run back in the middle to cheer again if you need the buffs. SapphoTroub 12:30, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Drago's Feign Death
Edit
Drago's Feign Death is periodical, NOT random. He will feign your group when he is at 75%, 50%, and 25% health. In addition, everytime he kills a pet (including dumbifre and fully controlable pets) he will feign death your group. -- Kriptini 06:48, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
Zone Abbreviation
Edit
Folks on Permafrost have been calling this zone JWEA as in Jarsath Wastes Emperor's Athenaeum to differentiate it from EA which is Evernight Abbey. What do folks think of this for a quasi official abbreviation for the zone? SapphoTroub 06:09, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

People on Blackburrow have been doing the same thing to some extent. I'll make the change. Thanks for suggesting it. It's a good idea.--

- I've never heard it called that on AB. But personally I don't like the abbreviation part of that template anyway, it's better suited to a brief section (since many zones have multiple ways of referring to them, multiple abbreviations even). -- lordebon 12:53, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
