Talk: Item Rarity

Flags change! Note added to the top of the main page to explain it/give examples. Edit

I added a note that flags can and have changed over time. This is the sort of thing that's easy to miss (often with a regular update for maintenance and occasionally "ninja" in as a few items here and there). They been doing major updates like this with a lot of house items in the ninja manner. For example the An empty Paineel bath can now be sold on the broker, but it was a no-trade items until 2013.

The note I added about "stacking" some Lore items is one I have personally done. It's a common trick and even easy to do with the (Lore flagged) red shiny (get one, drop in back, rinse and repeat) items. I've done it countless times and stacked enough to complete most of the quests for items like the Star Chart on all 24 characters I had on one server. My bank currently has a few stacks that I pull from (one at a time) to sell on the broker from many of my alts, as a matter of fact.

Flag changes tend to happen with items connected to older content. An example of the latter is the language gizmos ( Tablet of Draconic Runes ) tied to the quest, To Speak As A Dragon . Once upon a time, that long questline was the only way to get the language gizmos, but I was able to buy and put them in my shared bank and spare myself running it for every alt.
