Max sales crates per house over 6?
Edit
In this page it shows that the max crate slots is 12... How can this be? are you able to sell from boxes that you don't have linked to a broker or is it per account or what?

- Crate slots =/= vault slots. Crate slots means the number of vendor items you can have placed in that house, total. You can have someone with trustee access place their broker containers in your house, that limit is the total # of those. If it says 8 and you have 5, then an alt with trustee access can only place 3 more (assuming they have to place, of course). -- lordebon 23:05, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- Oh wonderful i didn't realise that. That sounds awesome then i can use my house for more then one alt :) Sparkicks 14:46, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
Changes to housing that effected the number of broker slots
Edit
I'm sure anyone lurking or editing the wiki in the last few months of this post is aware already, but I thought a note here for future questions was worth taking the time to add.
- All houses regardless of size, location, or type now give all player 6 (six) slots to sell items on the broker. This change happened ages ago (2010 or 2011, I think) in "game update years," as did the ability to own multiple houses on a single character (currently 25).
-
- No matter how many houses your character owns, you can NOT personally have more the 6 broker slots per character.
There are two kinds of housing now that function somewhat differently. The key difference between the two is that...
-
- Standard Housing (the original type) is housing with upkeep costs (like "rent" and possibly with status costs
- Prestige Housing is without upkeep costs of any kind.
This info is handy to know for a few reasons; to make a sales display truly useful, other players need to be able to enter the house and use buy from it. You can look at it in two ways.
- It can be advantageous to have a sales display inside a Prestige house if you're the type of person who forgets to pay upkeep!
- The advantage of choosing a Standard house with upkeep costs is actually LOCATION. The prestige housing has two entrance points in Freeport and Qyenos (with rare exceptions) and that frequently makes them harder to travel to when players are of the opposing alignment (good vs. evil) that the prestige house (and you sales display) is in
