todo Edit

Need "Hierloom" tag added to this (and might as well add to EquipInformation at the same time, in case of future heirlooms), see today's patch notes. -- lordebon 22:53, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

iname2 Edit

If iname2 get's used with a image that isn't uploaded yet the preview links to pagename.jpg instead of the iname2 parameter .

For example Trophy: Gynok Moltor's Head
if i write iname2= hhh.jpg the templates is trying to link to Image:Trophy: Gynok Moltor's Head.jpg instad of hhh.jpg in the preview.

If the linked image got uploaded all works fine, only if you try to prepare the page so you can uplaod right after it doesn't work :/.

Should be fixed now -- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 23:21, September 1, 2009 (UTC)

AAXP Edit

Needs unlock or changes made to reflect the change in AAXP naming. The "Achievement Experience" page is going to be depreciated and moved to " Alternate Advancement " and the Achievements page expanded into the new achievements system. -- lordebon 15:41, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

I guess you mean the link in Parameters section to be changed to Alternate Advancement ? -- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 23:43, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes =) -- lordebon 23:49, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
done -- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 14:00, September 23, 2009 (UTC)

Crates Edit

With LU53 there will some more crates.
so i thinked about a new parameter like contains that creates the line Contains Items: and below the input from the parameter ... like the parameter effects but with a different title.
Example: Kunark Achievements Robe Crate
-- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 23:43, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. If it's like effects, we should be able to use the icons as well to really mimic the in-game look. -- lordebon 23:53, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
yea i thought about this recently when encountered a couple containers, like the new ethernaut rewards, or the crates from EA/MM/RR bosses, and the patterns/molds could use these too. but there are 2 types of this, one is those i wrote before, they actually say: creates items , these have horizontal display, and the others are those you said, including the new veteran reward crates, marketplace crates and the achievement reward crates, these say contains items and are a vertical display -- Vraeth 07:45, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Icons hmm, i know what you mean .. i think make a template for that :)
Contains items shows Icon and name
Creates items only shows Icon
I think that can be handled by 1 template with a parameter like .. showname
-- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 22:04, September 1, 2009 (UTC)

I prepared it you can preview at my sandbox
i used DevTemplate as iteminformation test
i used DevTemplate3 as icon template test
I think it mates the ingame look quite good, not sure how good it will be to use
Please note that my sandbox and devtemplates will change the look
-- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 22:36, September 1, 2009 (UTC)

Parameters contains and creates added
To get the Icon look like ingame the Template:CItem should get used
for contains the call should be: {{CItem|item=|icon=|showname=y}}
for creates the call should be: {{CItem|item=|icon=|showname=}}
-- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 22:19, September 16, 2009 (UTC)
while it looks great so far, and the crates can be totally reproduced, the creates part could use some tweaks.
first and easiest to do thing is to center the icons horizontally.
the second would be what i said above to reflect the ingame look is to list the names under each other above the icons
-- Vraeth 23:15, September 16, 2009 (UTC)
A picture says more then 1000 words .. , i think i know what you mean, do you have a screenshot of a item that with creates like a pattern and a mold ?
-- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 12:18, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

There's two already on the wiki. File:Elemental Vanquisher's Helm Pattern.jpg shows three and how the icons are horizontally centered in the window. File:Magma armor mold.jpg has a crapload of stuff it makes and demonstrates the max arrangement. Both show the names one on top of another, all above the pack of icons. -- lordebon 12:53, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks -- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 13:00, September 17, 2009 (UTC)
creates Item got tweaked, the Template:CItemList uses Template:CItem as subtemplate so it's easier to make a list of those items.
the Template:CItemList listes item1 to item10 (without a dot as prefix) and shows the icons (with links to the items too below), icon1 to icon5 then next line icon6 to icon10
And the icons are in the center too
I must admit it's close ti ingame look the only problem would be if the names have a different sort then the icons have.
Like you see name1, name2 and name3 but below icon2 (with item2), icon3 (with item3), icon1 (with item1).
So i either the item list would be like ingame or the icon list would be, but i hope they have the same sorting.so it's not a problem.
Elemental Conqueror's Helm Mold updated with this template.
Last thing i have look into is that the Weight should come after the icons when you use creates item.
-- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 14:04, September 17, 2009 (UTC)
it looks great! :) i think the sorting of names/icons matches (usually both alpabetic), and if soe ever makes one that dont, well, then lets just live with it.. and about the weight..it too caught my eyes, but i think its very minor, so if it doesnt work out thats not a big problem imo :) -- Vraeth 14:19, September 17, 2009 (UTC)
If creates is used the Weight that is usally before classes is hidden and it shows instead after creates part.

desc Edit

there might be 2 types of descriptions on house items. one that is on all of them, telling where they can be placed, house, gh, or both. but on some of them there is some additional flavor text describing that item, but currently there is no option to display both (or just i didnt found any) -- Vraeth 12:40, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

The text about appearing in house or guild hall should appear automatically when the item is set up as a house item correctly (and provided it's not a light source, which has a different message). The desc field should then be usable by normal, I believe. The template probably could use a bit of updating in order to be able to state only one or the other (for the few items only placeable in one or the other). -- lordebon 15:40, January 2, 2010 (UTC)
if an item has as type House Item then the text "This item can be placed in your house or guild hall." comes by default.
For a different text just write the text in the desc part like .. "This item can be placed in your house or guild hall, and it's shiny!"
The text for house and guild hall is the most common text as far as i know.
-- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 16:01, January 2, 2010 (UTC)
File:Norrathian Express Box, Kelethin Branch.jpg this is what im talking about..for example. you cant type in all of this at the moment -- Vraeth 16:23, January 2, 2010 (UTC)
You can ... with a tiny trick =)
desc = This item can be placed in your house.

The stylish and functional Norrathian Express Box allows you to collect personal mail within your home at your leisure.
Norrathian Express Box, Kelethin Branch
It's like same with blue effects on items where you need to use the
to get it in a seperated line.
-- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 17:44, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

okay, you're right, but if i can be picky, those are different font types :) -- Vraeth 17:46, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

I agree. Description should be separate, the house item flag should be moved to a separate parameter and show up before the lighting tag (and not instead of), since light items can show both the 'this goes in a house' and 'this is a bright light' kind of tag. Then we can keep the description for... actual description stuff. -- lordebon 20:16, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

I hope that all house, guild hall and house+guild hall items have the same text. :/
Well the house item parameter is there kinda .. as type at least and i ain't gonna change that, but i think i have a idea about it.
A new parameter like Guildhall could do it with no and only as valid input. (not case-sensitive)
Default would stay as it is .. if an item is an House Item then you have the text "This item ......".
when parameter guildhall is no then the text is "This item can be placed in your house."
when parameter guildhall is only then the text is "This item can be placed in your guild hall." (i think it is)
and below is the desc text.
How about that?
-- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 00:07, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

Slots Edit

I would update the Template to show the following text if the parameter slots is not used by a number.

The parameter slots is for backpacks and strongboxes not for Equipable items.
Please use the Equipment for any equipable Item.

The link is a preload link of the EquipInformation Template.
What do you think? -- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 16:39, July 5, 2010 (UTC)

Mmm, that seems like overkill. Would be far simpler to just include comments on the preload, along the line of . -- lordebon 00:14, July 6, 2010 (UTC)

Tier and status items Edit

Now that guilds can go beyond 100, status items can now also be linked to higher levels. Example, Cataloger's Token is 110, but the tier parameter of the template does not go that high. 73.17.21.143 22:29, January 7, 2016 (UTC)

done, added tier 11 to 14 -- ChillispikeSig ( Talk ) 09:19, January 9, 2016 (UTC)
Thank you very much. 73.17.21.143 13:50, January 11, 2016 (UTC)
