1. Talk to Scholar Dahlia Dominique ( 1999, -298, 3352 ) /waypoint 1999, -298, 3352 in The City of Paineel
2. Talk to Vima Madrigan at the Shrine of Thunder in Lavastorm ( -141, -117, 633 ) /waypoint -140.89, -117.37, 632.92
3. Travel into the underfoot side of The Hole and kill the following in order:
   1. Recover a spike shard from a shimmering guardian found at ( -379, -301, -662 ) /waypoint -379, -301, -662
   2. Recover a crackling shard from a crackling stormlord found at ( -393, -296, -625 ) /waypoint -393, -296, -625
   3. Kill The Gorgon Wrangler
4. Now Collect Flames
   1. Get an uncommon update off the ancient guardian wurms just outside of Veeshan's Peak in Jarsath Wastes . Note: When trying to get this flame, you cannot be grouped with someone that has already got the flame from the wurm and is still on this quest. You will not get the update if they are in the group.
   2. Kill The Reformed Magolemus in Najena's Hollow Tower
   3. Kill Grodinor , who is part of the final encounter in Vasty Deep: The Abandoned Labs .
5. Now off to Library of Erudin where you have to kill any one of the Scholar Primarchs
   • Note: originally you had to kill all 8 of them, but it was fixed recently to only need one. if your journal still needs all 8 of them, file a petition to fix it.
6. Collect materials to bind the globe
   • Kill Blacksmith Lava-eye in The Hole . He is in the Dartain's Fortress area in The Hole.
   • Get 4 uncommon updates off of temple sentinels (part of the ring event at The Temple of the White Lady in Jarsath Wastes )
   • Must kill Queen Gwarthlea in Vasty Deep: The Vestigial Cella
7. Now you must venture into Deep Forge
   • Everburning Coals by killing Firelord Kaern . Only one drop per kill and you must be on the step as the coals are temporary and no trade
   • Then click on the forge by the first named
     • Note: these appear at the same time but you must have the Everburning Coals in your inventory to be able to update this step.
8. Return to Scholar Dahlia Dominique in The City of Paineel your reward.
