- Talk to Tavish Dracinov in D'Venhz Rectory in the Village of Somborn in ( -395, 12, -53 ) /waypoint -395, 12, -53
- Speak with Amares D'Venhz at the other end of the room ( -373, 12, -33 ) /waypoint -373, 12, -33 .

Amares sends you to gather:
- 20 chunks of raw meat from bone golems ( a carrion abhorrence ) in The Breathless Hollow in Loping Plains ( -150, 7, 6 ) /waypoint -150, 7, 6 . The rictus gnawers in Mistmoore Catacombs also update this step.
- 20 congealed blood drops from borebeak gorgers , found in Mistmoore Catacombs ( 34, -123, 135 ) /waypoint 34, -123, 135 . Note that although the quest specifies borebeak gougers, any other kind of stirge in the Mistmoore catacombs ( bloodbeak gougers , borebeak sippers , borebeak stabbers ) update the the quest.
- Return to Amares D'Venhz
- Talk to Havras "Hack" Scutter ( -310, 11, -49 ) /waypoint -310, 11, -49

He tells you to create a weapon suitable for slaying a powerful undead ghoul lord. This will launch one of 2 sub-quests:
- Ghoulbane Empowered - IF you have Ghoulbane BEFORE returning to Amares.

- If you do not have
Ghoulbane
- If you already have Ghoulbane he will offer both of these quests. Only one subquest is needed to complete the HQ, but if you wish to do both subquests, ask about Ghoulbane and accept that quest, then speak to Hack again and ask about a powerful weapon.
- Evil-aligned characters at level 66 or better can walk through any Qeynos gate to get to Toranim if they are doing Ghoulbane Empowered . Only the two level 95 epics(x3) on the palace drawbridge in North Qeynos will be agro.
- Kill Mordiggian , 68^^^ Heroic mob in the The Breathless Hollow of Loping Plains. To spawn him click twice on a plate on a rock near Freethinker Hideout ( -380, -13, 141 ) /waypoint -380, -13, 141 . He will have 3 waves of adds. When the adds pop, he depops and respawns back at the plate. The adds are a separate encounter.
