Type : Currency City Token This token indicates the city's recognition of services performed. It can be redeemed at a merchant for a small cash value, or may be saved for spending during city festival days. TREASURED HEIRLOOM Effects : This item can be sold to certain NPCs for status. Selling it also earns guild status if your guild is below level 95. Obtain: Reward from Tradeskill Writs and City Festival Quests

What does this information mean?

City Tokens may be sold to festival merchants for festive rewards or sold to status merchants for status points for both you and your guild.

If a city token is sold to a status merchant you will receive 250 status and will provide 25 status to any guild under level 95 (for leveling) OR coin only 1g 25s .

To be able to sell a city token to a status merchant it must be in your inventory and not your currency window. To remove city tokens from your currency window left click on the city token icon and drag it to an empty bag slot.

City tokens do not have to be in your inventory to be sold to festival merchants.

Note: Not all faction merchants will offer status for City Tokens. Below is a list of merchants who will award you faction for selling them City Tokens.
