As seen in the official forums, this is the coercer page much talked about
here
. This is just a start; please help by entering your favorite pets, especially on the lower tiers, as information on these areas is the most useful for new players. The coercer pet information here is ordered alphabetically by zone so it's easier to find what you want.
If you are not an Erudite with Aura Sense, consider getting a pair of Thaumatoscopic Goggles at level 65 (these are not usable below level 65). These will enable you to see which mobs are casters etc. when in an unfamiliar zone. (The goggles are currently described as head slot leather armor, but that's incorrect, the item is actually cloth armor).
Note that this page strictly applies to pets created with
Charm
. Pets which are charmed retain their original script and roster of abilities, whereas pets created by
Possess Essence
may or may not resemble the live mob. For more on
Possess Essence
and the abilities your pet will have, see
Coercer Pet Strategies
.
Nukes 300+ (seen crits for 450+). Charm for lvl 17 is fairly stable for me at lvl 13 (M1 charm + EOF AA). Absolutely ultimate pet for CL. Capable of 1-shotting people in PVP
nukes for ~600, stuns, drains power and interupts, hard to recharm since it will interupt A LOT even when stunned and mezzed but non aggro and plentiful
along the shoreline near the named for Foomby's HQ
Great tank. Hits for 200-400 with master charm, tons of HP. Easy to hold charm even while orange con. Only downside is this is a quest mob and while you are running around the countryside with him, anyone needing to talk to him is screwed!
Always uses locusts and grim coil for 200~ per tick, warlock pet will attack if master is attacked, mob has decent HP since it is a named, quest mob do not monopolize
1k+ nukes with Master charm. Great pet - happy to tank singles, even from the Heroic groups of Sootfoots to the east, although 3+ mobs tend to overwhelm it. Self-buffs with
Iceshield
. Can be charmed from outside the test without aggroing the Sootfoot warriors if you cast at the maximum range of the spell (a resist would be dangerous but I never got one).
Inside the tent which is guarded by two Sootfoot warriors - turn right after you exit the tunnel from the beach, near ( -328, -129, 456 )
/waypoint -328, -129, 456
Very occasional Ice comet for +/-3500, 1100-2300 Fire chamber & lightning burst, 400 per tick DOT engulf/ Inquisitor Invocation for 1100 and self heals
same as above, but added bonus that it doesn't go wandering back if you die or have to run when charm breaks. There are several spawns in the Hidden Refuge, but the easiest is the one in the far corner between the mender and surgeon. No other frogs in aggro range if you get a resist, got PBAoE
~500 autoattack, 1600-4200 (averages high 2000's) nuke, and approx 1200-1500 point aoe cone attack (be careful using this when adds are around, the cone will bring them in). Pet is capable of over 800dps (leading parses, beating out wizards and necromancers)
