I've been thinking about improving some of the recipe articles on the wiki. Yasuewho had started to put together an up to date list of recipe merchants in game and I think making a template for them and adding a new category would be a good way to go.
I've been thinking about updating all the essential recipe pages on the wiki with this template here: Template:TradeskillRecipeMerchants
I think this would be a decent way of separating out the removed from game crafting trainer (NPC's) from the ones that are still currently in game. It would also make the information more visible on the recipe pages themselves also.
I had created another category dedicated to merchants that sell recipes themselves here: Category:Tradeskill Recipe Merchant (NPC Type)
Not all recipe merchants are crafting trainers although all crafting trainers seem to be recipe merchants. I think having a separate category for just recipe merchants makes sense.
The category might duplicate some of the Crafting Trainer (NPC Type) category but it would also contain all the specialized recipe merchants as well. I'll be looking into updating the recipe merchant template and hope to add this template to all the essential versions of recipe books as a start. I think I'll try to read about setting up a bot and if it isn't too difficult I'll show you my progress before pulling the trigger. Jado818 ( talk ) 20:04, March 1, 2014 (UTC)

- I downloaded this program called autowiki bot and I figured out how to set it up to log in here on the eq2 wiki. I might poke around with it some in the next week or so and try messing with a few of my sandbox pages here until I get the hang of it.
