Help:SpamTaskForce

The Volunteer Spam Task Force is a group of Wikia users who have volunteered to help keep Wikia clear and free of spam. The task force is made up of users who act in the interests of the greater Wikia community by helping keep Wikia vandal and spam free. To do this they have been given additional user rights that allow them to detect, delete and block spam.

You can report spam on the VSTF Wiki or in the VSTF IRC Channel . Please be sure to read their policies first.

sulfur User:sulfur Central Wall Skype sulfur has been editing Wikia (primarily on Memory Alpha ) since early 2006, and joined the VSTF in June 2011. TyA User:TyA Central Wall Skype Languages : en-N TyA has been editing Wikia since March 2010 and joined the VSTF in August 2012. He is oftentimes spotted at the RuneScape Wiki . Leviathan 89 User:Leviathan 89 Central Wall Leviathan 89 is an Italian user who has been editing Wikia since December 2010 and joined the VSTF in August 2012. You can find him mostly on One Piece Encyclopedia and One Piece Wiki Italia or with one of the links on the right.
TK-999 User:TK-999 Central Wall Skype TK-999 has been editing on Wikia since July 21, 2010 and joined the VSTF in August 2012. He can mainly be found on Community Central or on his home wikia, Star Wars Fanon .	Adrian User:Ajraddatz Central Wall Ajraddatz joined Wikia in 2009, and focuses on small-wiki vandalism removal.
Jr Mime User:Jr Mime Central Wall Skype Languages : fr-n, en-n Jr Mime first edited on January 24th 2012 and joined the VSTF January 20th 2014. You can regularly see him at the RuneScape Wiki and Community Central . Jr Mime is one of the two existing Narwhals on Wikia. Joseph User:Josephyr Central Wall Skype Josephyr had been editing Wikia since 2013, and joined the VSTF in December, 2014. He is a jolly ole contributor from New Jersey, who spends his free time editing Wikia, except when he's chasing down hooligans, rapscallions, or scalleywags with a stick. Joseph is one of the two existing Narwhals on Wikia. Note : He is not a Spy .	White torch User:White torch Central Wall Skype Languages : ru-N, en-3 White torch has been editing at Wikia since 2011 and joined the VSTF team in January 2015. Noreplyz User:Noreplyz Central Wall Languages : en-N Noreplyz has been editing at Wikia since 2012 and joined the VSTF in January 2016. He can be found fooling around at the Yogscast Wiki .
Ripto User:Ripto22475 Central Wall Languages : en-N Ripto22475 Has been actively editing Wikia since 2013 and joined the VSTF in January 2016. He enjoys to organize and communicate with people, and in his spare time he is indulging in content and discussions on the Dragon Ball Wiki .	Math User:Matheus Leonardo Central Wall Skype Languages : pt-br-N, en-3, es-1, fr-1 Matheus Leonardo has been editing at Wikia since 2014 and joined the VSTF team in 2016. He can be found on both Portuguese and English My Little Pony Wiki and on Portuguese Community Central .
VSTF Bot is an automated and experienced spam fighting robot. It is comprised of two frameworks. Half of it is an adaptation of stewbot of Wikimedia. The other half consists of scripts developed by VSTF member sactage . She only answers to members of the Spam Task Force, so if you have questions regarding an action taken by the bot, please contact one of the above members.

Tools

Task force members have most of the same privileges as local administrators , but on all wikia; they also have access to a few extra tools that help them react quickly and effectively to find and remove vandalism and spam. It's important to note that they do not replace or "outrank" local administrators. The local community and the local admins are responsible for their wikia-specific tasks; but the task force is only there to help with cleaning cross-Wikia spam, and reverting vandalism on quiet or inactive wikias.
