This category is the top level directory for all the Icon images stored on the EQ2 Wiki.

Icon Organization Edit

There are hundreds if not thousands of Icons stored on the EQ2 wiki so to make the task of finding the proper Icon easier, the Icons have been divided into subcategories.
Below is a description of the subcategories and what you can expect to find in each category.
For information on how to use Icons in a page you are creating, please see the How To Use Icons section of this page.

Icon Categories

• Achievement Icons -- A listing of Icons used for the various Achievements . These icons are commonly used with the Achievement Template .
• Archtype Icons -- A listing of Icons used for EQ2 Archtypes. There are only 4 archtypes at this time.
• Blank Icons
• Core Equipment Icons -- A listing of Icons used by default in the Equipment Template if an icon isn't set.
• Equipment Icons -- A listing of Icons used in the Equipment Template . Subcategories include:

• Ammo Icons -- Icons commonly used for ammo slot equipment .
• Belt Icons -- Icons commonly used for waist slot equipment .
• Bracelet Icons -- Icons commonly used for wrist slot equipment .
• Charm Icons -- Icons commonly used for charm slot equipment .

• Altar Icons -- Icons Commonly used for Altars.
• Animal Icons -- Icons commonly used for Animal related items such as treasure looted from animal corpses.
• Book Icons -- Icons commonly used for books, scrolls, pages, tomes; if it's written on paper in some fashion it's image is probably here.
• Coin and Medallion Icons -- Icons commonly used for Currency and Trophies.
• Container Icons -- Icons Commonly used for bags, boxes, crates, backpacks; if it's used to store or carry items it's image is probably here.
• Dungeon Maker Icons -- Icons commonly used for Dungeon Maker Activators.
• Gem Icons -- Icons commonly used for Gems, Stones, Rocks, Ores, Precious Metals; if it looks like a rock, stone, or gem it's image is probably here.
• Furniture Icons -- Icons Commonly used for Furniture and House items.

• Machinery Icons -- Icons Commonly used for Gears, Cogs, Tinkered Contraptions; If it looks like a machine or machine part of any sort it's image is probably in here.
• Plant Icons -- Icons commonly used for flowers, plants, wood, bushes; if it grows in some fashion it's image is probably in here.

• AA Enhance Icons -- Icons with unique graphics or unique background colors behind normal graphics that are used ONLY for Alternate Achievement and/or Enhance abilities.
• General Spell Icons -- Icons commonly used for Spells.
• Icons by Class -- Spell Icons by class.
• Icons by Color -- Spell Icons organized by background color.
• Icons by Deity -- Spell Icons by Deity.

• Tradeskill Icons -- Currently used for Tradeskill Ability Icons.

• Adornment Ingredients Icons -- Icons commonly used for adornment recipe ingredients like powders, fragments, infusions, and manas.
• Tradeskill Class Icons -- Icons used for tradeskill classes.

• Userbox Icons -- Icons commonly used on user talk pages.
• Wheel Icons -- Icons commonly used for Heroic Opportunities .

How To Use Icons Edit

To use an icon in an Icon in an item, equipment, or other type of page you should first find the correct icon for the image. A description of the Icon organization and categorization is in the next section of this page. If you are unable to find the Icon after searching you can simply upload a version of the Icon you want to use. Directions on the proper way to upload an Icon can be found in the How To Upload An Icon section of this page.

Once you have found or uploaded the correct Icon, you simply need to copy files name. For example, if you wanted to use this icon: File:Icon bench 01 (Treasured).png in an item template, you would simply copy the Icon bench 01 (Treasured).png part of the files page name and insert that into the page template.
